There's a huge difference between passively driving, as you describe it, and passing up 8 cars at a time at 100 mph. It's not an either/or scenario. There's plenty of middle ground there, where passing can be done quickly and safely.
For your own sake, I hope you get caught a few times by some enthusiastic cops.

For your own sake, I hope you get caught a few times by some enthusiastic cops. You don't understand how far ahead you can see at some of the flat parts of 2-lane HWY 30...

I'd say that's a pretty impressive record especially considering the majority of those years were my teens.

When on HWY 30 on 2 lanes and you have traffic backed up 8+ cars deep and there is an opening you have got to jump on it. Passing aggressively is way more safe than passing passively and not getting on the gas pedal. Previous dumb *** claim confirmed. Thank you.

Yes I do. Driven that road many times. All it takes is one of those 8 vehicles to attempt a pass at the same time you do, and it's done. Maybe they didn't see you. Maybe they didn't anticipate you were going to pass all 8 cars at once. But, at 100 mph, you have less time to react.

Re: Good roads to speed on
There's a line between being a savvy driver and just being flat out reckless. I normally drive 5-10 mph above; it allows me to get the job done getting around slower traffic and still move with the flow, so to speak. 100 mph is borderline insane

The Jeep Liberty doesn't get up to 100 mph right away... it's by the end of the pass... I've driven the route literally hundreds of times, I have it memorized, I know what I'm talking about.

Re: Good roads to speed on
Don't let them get to you cyco, I'd take someone passing me at 100mph every day over the ***-clowns that I see on 235 texting, talking on the phone, driving in the left lane, etc.

Hell, they don't just "suggest" it, they "insist" it.

You can drive effectively without being a maniac. Liberty Belle, apparently hasn't learned that lesson yet, despite his whopping 7 years of road experience.
