I'm very glad to see that tax dollars are being used to shut down mouse racing. Can't think of a better use for our law enforcement personnel.

A law's a law. I hope these filthy mouse racers get hung and Governor Branstad personally takes a **** on their corpses. Anything less would be a miscarriage of justice.

In reality, it's not like they had some devious undercover operation and other crimes were being let go because they were focused on the mouse racing. They got a tip and checked it out and this is what they found. It actually is what our tax dollars are paying for. Personally, I find it hilarious, but none the less, it's a crime. Just like a lot of people complain about speeding tickets, but imagine what the roads would be like if the police didn't bother with them at all. It is part of their job. When they start forming task forces and undercover operations for things like this, then I'll have a problem with it.

I strictly race voles which are much faster as their relatively shorter tail causes less wind resistance as compared to mice.

This is true, but my question is Why in the heck is it a crime to bet on mice racing? Who is this hurting, and why do the police need to regulate betting on rodents running obstacle courses in the first place? If a bunch of yokels want to go to the bar and bet on mice races, who is the victim?
