Re: Food Pyramid Replaced by Plate
Within 10 years grocery stores and restaurants will be replaced and the government will just mail us the food we're allowed to eat every day.

Some of you really try to hard to be mad.....about anything.
I don't bring my own opinions, just attack others. -

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers -
Re: Food Pyramid Replaced by Plate
The reason I have taken more interest the last few years in eating better is not so that I will live longer, but so that I will live better.
My eating habits have varied a little over the last couple of years, and I definitely have more energy and just feel generally better when I'm eating better foods and better portions.

I never have had a problem with putting on weight in my life (fast metabolism), but when I changed my diet from eating whatever I want to eating healthy 24/7, it is amazing how much better you feel. I'm to the point where if I eat a piece of pizza or any fried food, etc, I feel like absolute crap.

Re: Food Pyramid Replaced by Plate
I'll start eating healthy once I have a family that I need to set an example for. I plan on the rest of my college years to consist of fast food, pasta, frozen food, and beer.
Jimmy Johns and Subway are the closest thing to healthy that I get for myself.

Does anybody really think people will pay any attention to this?

they're called morons, and need to get a brain then. it would do this country good to let them kill themselves off, because we are getting dumber by the day.

i could get hit by a car today, die in a plane crash tomorrow, or get shot by a guy robbing a liquor store next week. i'm willing to run the risk of being unhealty so that i can actually enjoy the time that i do have here.
and on a side note, the stuff our grandparents ate wasn't all that healthy either, and most i know lived long lives. they cooked with lard for gods sake. they just worked their ***** off when they were done eating lunch and were better for it.
to each their own, but i'm not going to buy into a food pyramid, or plate for that matter. Whoa there, calm down fatty.

Thats because you are no longer a finely tuned digesting machine like the rest of us. You are weak. I can digest moldy lard if I have to. How are you going to survive when that is all thats left.
