Biotechnology will solve this problem in the next decade or so.

No offense, but how? I work in Bio-tech and we're no closer to making corn fix nitrogen than landing on the sun.

More than $350 a gallon? Surprising. What kind of rate do you use? Forgive me for the questions, but I am curious.

Also, not all pesticides break down quickly.

He was talking about the new genetically engineered hyperpheasants.
Asteroids are nature's way of asking "How's that space program going?"

The only way I see it coming it through the nitrogen utilization gene which will just make corn more efficient in using the N. I don't see N fixing corn in my lifetime.

Ya we are easily at that price per gallon. Looking at our dealers price page it definitely varies but I see quite a few fungicides around 380 per gallon. Some where lower than I remember though. Linkpacks are easily over 6100 for alot of the stuff we use. (10 gallons in a Linkpack). If we use syngenta products it can easily be around 7,000 dollars to spray our fwys in one app. (24 acres or so)
