Dang... that means Chariton will have 3 Caseys... in a town of around 4500 people. Wow.

I know its much bigger, but Ankeny has 3 Caseys that pretty much service the I35-Oralabor interchange now...

Little while ago, Caseys built brand new in Denison (at existing location), then not much later bought the Holiday about 4 blocks to the West & operated both for a while, but have now closed it down.
Likelihood some of these are to buy out the competition, while others are to take advantage of locations & operate multiple locations in 1 town (Carroll?)
Krause does this sort of thing. Had some banks, sold them all (Commercial Federal), then started anew with Liberty Bank

Will be interesting to see what happens with the Carroll addition. Keep it open as an additional Casey's or close out the competition? While I love their pizza, I'll miss the convenient hours of K&G.
