That's according to Roger Ebert. What do you think?

I was called out to do a week-long install job a couple years ago in downtown Grand Rapids. It was the end of January, the streets looked deserted, the architecture outdated, and I just had this feeling like this is a city that's been stuck in neutral for 20+ years. The city in that music video is dramatically different than the one I saw. I love these feel good videos coming out of Michigan, that entire state needs a P.R. makeover.

    Re: greatest music video ever?

A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned in this thread, particularly Black Hole Sun, Weapon of Choice, and Push It, so I figured I'd go outside of the box.

Yeah, I know - I'm posting a DC Talk video in this thread. Some, perhaps a lot, are going to flat out say "Christian music is crap" and not even give the video a chance, which is fine, whatever. But the video was very well done, especially for "Christian music". I myself wouldn't claim it as the best overall video ever either, but considering it's a very broad and subjective category we're discussing...

By the way, as far as music videos go, you'd be hard pressed to find videos that top the one that started the craze in the first place: Michael Jackson's "Thriller"...

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

    Re: greatest music video ever?

I'm a much bigger fan of the music video directors than I am of the actual artists. It looks like there are a couple of Spike Jonze fans on here. He directed "Weapon of Choice" and "Buddy Holly". My favorite video of his is the Beastie Boys video for "Sabotage". I also get a kick out of his dancing in the Fat Boy Slim video for "Praise You" (he directed it and starred as the "Dance Instructor")

My personal favorite has to be Sophie Muller's video for No Doubt's "Don't Speak". It's the perfect blend of music, visual art and story-telling, as it was able to show Gwen Stefani making her way to being an A-list celebrity, while also visualizing the bands feelings that she would be the end of No Doubt.
