    Re: Steve Deace

Deace's religious fanaticism gets old, but the guy knows his college football. If he could keep his religion and politics out of his sports talk, he'd be the best in town. He might be anyways.

Besides their views being the exact opposite, Deace reminds me a lot of bradshaw on 98.3. They should put those two on a show together and see who survives.. like a reality show contest. Last man standing stays on the air

Deace would kick Bradshaws ***. He would have Bradshaw crying in the first 15 mins.

How would you feel if you are Miller, WHO hasnt even replaced him.

    Re: Steve Deace

Deace was great. I thought he was very good at college football stuff and he was entertaining. However, his religious views and politics were on the extreme side and should have been left out of his shows.

Deace's knowledge and objectivity on college football are unbelievable. His pre-season analysis of the college scene trumped any national magazine or other media attempt to do the same. I am hoping he returns very soon to the sports scene. Marty - is it coincidental that whereever he is, crap happens? Maybe giggles will pull him back to the northeast.

    THIS +1

I loved, loved that he understood to make a radio show work in Iowa someone would have to defend IaState. He took that on and did a good job, made us feel like someone wanted us on air. Giggles should have taken a lesson from him, either embraced IaState or the other team but, When in Iowa act like an Iowan or dont ask to work here.

His religion, though I dont agree with, is what defines him. Radio hosts are personalities, that why they are hired, OPINIONS. Why do you think Marty T is still on air after his rant, or howard stern. I can put up with his dogma because his analytical sports mind is AMAZING! Good mix of stats and predictions based of trends and insight!
I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

Yeah if you listened to Marty on that fateful day and I quote Martha now...The problem with miller and deace is that you can't SELL THEM!!!!!

In other words good luck getting the advertisers and the money people to buy the air time for good old trash talking Miller and the Politically Motivated Deace....

These 2 Losers may never be on the air again!!

Sounds like Marty should partly blame himself for not doing the research and background on these two guys regarding their previous employer and the contract Deace and Miller had.

Buyer beware, so-to-speak. Having a business partner(s) almost always ends badly

Right . . we wouldn't want anybody to contaminate the pure airwaves of sportsdom or talk radio with someone who is a vocal Christian . . now would we?

I admired the guy for speaking on various civil/religious issues . . . Kind of like what Americans used to do . . before the agnostic/atheist/sepofch&state crowd started screeching like the bigoted intolerants they truly are.

Yeah because when I listen to sports radio, I love to hear about football and jesus. I heard ESPN might be adding Jimmy Swaggart to their Sunday sportscenter broadcast.

whatever, Deaces form of Christianity is pretty absolutist which in and of itself is pretty intolerant.
