U.S. to pull all troops out of Afghanistan

Great news!! All 33,000 are to be out by summer 2012!

That number is the "surge" troops only if I read correctly.

They are going back to "pre-surge" numbers of troops.

103000-33000=70000

Whoops, my bad. I saw it crawl across the bottom of the screen and it just said "troops all out by summer 2012".

I'll believe it when I see it. Would love to not have my brother there, but he hasn't called and said anything about a timetable of him leaving the area.

I wonder if this thread can make it without going into the cave...

Highly unlikely though.

It's a step in the right direction nonetheless, but it still is going to be rough seeing my brother in law get deployed for the fourth time to Afghanistan this fall.
