Disaster dates
Any good stories?
I have one. This was right after I graduated from ISU. I met a girl from a mutual friend and hung out with her a few times at a bar in Des Moines. We went out on a date a few weeks later. We had dinner and went to another bar for drinks, etc. We closed the place down and went back to her house. I was pretty hammered. We were walking in her front door and some guy jumped me. He was hanging out in the bushes. It was totally dark. He hit me a few times before I realized what was going on. I remember he didn't have a shirt on, so I had a hard time getting my hands on him. I was bigger than him and got some good shots in after I got my head together. He ran off probably 3 or 4 minutes after this started.
You can probably figure out that this was her old boyfriend. I found out later he'd been in trouble with the law for different things... nothing serious. I never did see him again. We dated a few more times and I started seeing one of her friends. I remember laughing at how funny and ridiculous the whole thing was. Then one of my buddies reminded my that I could have gotten knifed or whatever. That took some of the humor out of it.

Re: Disaster dates
Driving home from a date years ago late at night I was stopped by an unmarked police car and when I get out of my car I had to plain clothes policemen pointing guns at me. After a short conversation I found out they were looking for a yellow ford for an armed robbery, fortunately I was sober and driving a yellow chevy.

If that was the case he probably was very lucky things happened the way they did. That type of chick is most definitely the type that he would have had to visit the doctor after being with. Tramp. -
Re: Disaster dates
Dates and dating are overrated. You bang her and then there's really no need to see her again.

Re: Disaster dates
Shortly after moving to Kansas City I went on a date with a girl who graduated and was a big KU Basketball fan, go figure. This was during the tournament when KU played Northern Iowa. We went to a sports bar to watch the game and I was having a pretty good time. Girl likes beer and knows her sports, pretty cool right? Well I kept my mouth shut the whole time. She knew I went to ISU and graduated from there. I did not make it known that I was rooting for UNI until that last shot and I jumped up and yelled in front of the whole bar, this was an involuntary response. Lets just say we did not talk after that.
