Garage Sale for Haiti

My wife and I are moving to Haiti to volunteer long term. We will be holding a rummage sale to raise money for our stay. We are both Iowa State alum (wife: '10 Journalism, me: '09 Elem Edu) and would love to see other Iowa Staters! My wife is Haitian-American, and we will be holding the sale at fellow Haitian, and former Cyclone football player James Smith's house.

James will be there at least in the mornings, so if you want to get any ISU gear signed you should stop by. We will be selling a few jerseys and ISU shirts, and he said he would be more than happy to sign them. Also if you have any posters or other things you might want signed feel free to bring them.

We are selling furniture, children's items, baby clothes, household items, sports equipment, plus sizes, DVDs, CDs, jewelry. Something for everyone!

The sale will be held at: 245 24th St in West Des Moines. It is Friday from 8am-4pm, and Saturday from 8am-1pm.

Still have one day left of the sale...Saturday from 8-1pm. We still have one jersey left, and multiple ISU t-shirts, plus a recliner, DVDs and other misc items.

Also James Smith should be there most of the day, so if you want anything signed just stop by (245 24th St in WDSM).

Btw, it was really cool, today a young Hawkeye fan was at the sale and was looking at some of the ISU jerseys. James could tell he wanted one, so he went inside and got one of his game worn jerseys. He signed it, and gave it to the kid (for free!)...hopefully there is a new Cyclone for life! James is a great guy!
