    Carpet Cleaning

Fanatics, needing a little help on this one. End of the lease is coming up and we have to get our carpets cleaned. Does anybody have any companies in Ames they use that is on the cheap side? We just have to show a receipt that says we got them cleaned. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Check your lease. Ours is $125 fine if we don't do it - with most carpet cleaners over $100. We may just pass and take the fine and lose part of our deposit.

Shave it, a little soap water, and then some lotion. That carpet will be clean! Or you could wax it.

    Re: Carpet Cleaning

I had to use 3 carpet cleaners throughout college and my last stop I used Pioneer. They were the cheapest, nicest, and did the best job. It's located on Duff right near main St. I would highly recommend them.

    Re: Carpet Cleaning

I'm a landlord (only 1 property). I've found pretty much all the carpet cleaning services to be about the same price and quality. In general -- there's a $$/square foot charge, a $$/stair charge (if you have carpeted stairs), and sometimes a "heavy stain" charge if you know you have heavy stains and you actually want them to care about it. Call 3 or 4 places and get those rates.
May my postings be polite and not misunderstood. (And hopefully funny on occasion.)
