basketball here. played it from 5th-8th grade and then was a manager throughout high school. Of all the sports it's the sport that I've followed the most both playing and watching.

Definitely baseball. I was a JV bench-warmer in HS, but now I've been coaching all three of my boys the past 7 or 8 years in Little League. I'm currently in the process of starting a club team for my youngest son. I thought I knew the game until I started coaching. I've learned so much about the game since.

Golf is one that I would be qualified to talk about most in depth. Played the sport since I was three, I played in hs and college, and briefly professionally. Baseball would be right up there as well. I had offers to play juco ball but turned them down to play golf. Played, coached, and ref'ed basketball. Never played organized football, but I love the sport. I am an absolute sports junkie, I follow and have played almost any sport out there, except for wrestling, but I do know the basics. I am also a trivia nut, so you could say my life revolves around sports.

Rowing. Not that I once raced against the US Olympic team or anything...but I did.

Re: Friday discussion- What is "your sport"
Gotta be football for me. Been a cyclone fan since '97. I did well in HS and played a little afterwards. Im going to coach it at the high school level when i get out of college. Been a huge fan of college football all along with waay to much useless knowledge of stats, etc packed into my memory.
I started liking college basketball a few years ago. I really only watch march madness and the iowa state games. I will watch any football any time all year long.
I am a big fan of wrestling. iowa HS wrestling and watching iowa HS kids wrestle in college.
I also have a strong passion for the sport of track. Specifically sprint races and training for them. Its actually more of an obsession. I just love it.

Re: Friday discussion- What is "your sport"
I would say I'm a basketball guy. I played from 4th grade to senior year. I rode the bench through out high school so I didn't really get a chance to learn in game strategies but I feel like have a strong knowledge of the game. I have also been attending/watching college and pro games since I was really little.
I also know quite a bit about football. Play experience is lacking as I only played from one year of tackle, football is the sport I have watched the most though. I have been to ISU games regularly since I was a little tike. I went to all my high schools games while I attended school there. I have also, been a dedicated fantasy football manager for over 10 years now.
