Cool event coming up in Des Moines

Fanatics -

A friend of mine is helping to organize this event and I wanted to help him out by promoting it on the site. It is called Devour Des Moines.

This eating-meets-triathlon fundraiser is a fun, social and competitive way to enjoy both physical actively and food. Teams of four, relay-style, will eat an order of food, then complete a physical task, like run or bike a few miles. Event is Saturday, August 6.

Eat and then run? If it were either or, I would totally be in. Together? Not so much.

Maybe combine curling and hurling, too?
