Question for the car enthusiasts more knowledgeable than me.
I see a lot of chevy trucks (tahoes, trucks, avalanches) that are running with rims that aren't standard issue for that year. For example a 2001 Tahoe that would have a 2007 20" OEM rim.
They're either OEM or factory reproduction because they looks exactly like the OEM rims with the center bowtie insignia.
Anyway...where do you buy these? I'm finding them online but wondering if I could buy local too. Maybe a salvage yard??
I had rims from a 99 on my 93 Chevy - got them from a swap meet/car show in Wisconsin. Several people there were selling their factory rims because they put aftermarket rims on their trucks.
The ones online (Ebay) are generally stolen. Here in College Station we hear about it 2-3 times a week where you park your Chevy Truck or SUV for the night and wake up in the morning with it on landscaping bricks.
