For you Templeton Rye Fanboys
Templeton Rye furniture
TEMPLETON, Iowa — There's a business partnership starting to age here because of the town's spirit.
We're talking about a spirit of the alcohol variety: Templeton Rye, a whiskey so popular in the few places it's distributed that the stores can't keep it in stock. For the last seven months, the ownership team of Templeton Rye has joined with an enterprising Templeton family that is crafting and selling benches, stools, tables and clocks made from the charred oak barrels used by the distillery to age the alcohol.

Cedar Ridge whiskey is just as good and IMO, better. There rum OS the best I have ever had (my expertise) crwine.com.
But I do love some Templeton.

Kind of a cool idea, my Dad would flip his lid if this showed up at his house. He is a huge TR fan/drinker!
Plus the fact that it's an ISU family is pretty cool.

if it comes adorned in seagram's 7 stickers and duct tape, then it's legit.

Plus the fact that it's an ISU family is pretty cool. They are most definitely big Iowa Staters. They do excellent work, the product is great, and I couldn't be more excited for them.

But I do love some Templeton. I've seen that at the store. May have to pick up a bottle if it's as good as you say it is.

But I do love some Templeton. Plus, Cedar Ridge is actually made in Iowa, not just barrel aged in Iowa.

For local distilling River Baron Vodka is great. It's got a pleasant flavor without the burn. Mississippi River Distilling Company - LeClaire, Iowa I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system. -

I wonder how many people know that Templeton Rye isn't actually made in Iowa anymore.

Re: For you Templeton Rye Fanboys
I need to try Cedar Ridge.
It's bourbon, right? Not rye?

Re: For you Templeton Rye Fanboys
Cedar Ridge's Clearheart spirits are quite good, and when Templeton Rye fired back up I was disappointed to discover it was not made in Iowa.

One thing that's not listed there, they recently started selling a cowboy whiskey (it's aged, I think, in their used bourbon barrels, so it's not legally bourbon).
The benefits of living 8 miles away.
One HUGE benefit of CR, because they produce on site, they always have product coming out. None of the searching posts for who has some, etc. It might be out for a few days if a particular store runs low, but it's around. Not for lack of demand, but because they are always bottling.

Now the Commercial Templeton Wall Lake Manning Rye, that is a whole other story.
