GVC Women Soccer out of control

I know several of the girls who play for Grand View Soccer team and their coaches seem to be taking girls NAIA soccer to seriously.

Since the beginning of August they have had only one day off, which prevents all girls from going home to see family or having a life outside of soccer.

On Tuesday the girls had film and then practice that went from on for 5 hours (4-9 PM)

After today's loss the coach announced 6 AM practices to go along with their already scheduled 4 PM practices for the foreseeable future, including all weekends and this Labor day Monday. The coach then told them "This will continue until I am fired, you quite, or you become a team."

Does anyone have an idea if they can do this? Just trying to look out for some of my friends.

Yes they can, since the NAIA is a completely different governing body in college athletics and has it's own set of rules or I should say they have very little to no rules at all! NAIA also has little to no rules as well in regards to drug testing and hours spent practicing like the NCAA does. NAIA is not sanctioned by the NCAA, so NCAA rules do not apply to any NAIA schools. It's very well know that a very large majority of NAIA football players are know PED users, because they know there really is no rules to prevent them from using them!! Plus, the NCAA has been divided into three divisions, the NAIA has no divisions.

Not true. There are naia divisions. At least in basketball.

This! It's college athletics, I don't care if it's D1-A or NAIA!

we did two a days for high school xc. we used to get up at 5:30 and be running by six, this aint nothing new

That's what we did for Basketball.

The coach does sound a little extreme in his methods, but it also sounds like he is trying to prove a point. There must be something going on in the locker room if he said they need to become a "team."

also why wouldnt he take NAIA seriously? He is supposed to tell his players well none of you were good enough to placy D1 so we are just going to have fun? he has to protect his job

Yeah and it sounds as if the players on the team don't like him too much since this guy is on here asking if it's "legal" to do such a thing.

Coach is probably a ****** who thinks his job is way more important than it actually is, but if the players don't like it they should quit since it's his team.
