Building a swingset
So the wife and I finally decided to put up a swingset/slide/playground in our backyard for the kids.
We went with an Alpine kit from Swing-n-Slide. I went with all cedar lumber and have cut everything to length and put a 3/8" round on all the edges. I decided to give all the lumber a good cleaning and then stained it last weekend.
I'm planning on starting the build tomorrow and was wondering if anyone here had put one of these up and if you have any advice to make things go nice and smooth.
One question that I already have is whether or not I should predrill all the holes. The instructions don't say to, but I'm thinking I may have a lot of splitting if I don't.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Building a swingset
You would probably have better luck with the wood not splitting down the line if you do predrill the holes. If you have the tools to do it and don't mind taking the time to do it, I would recommend it. I would do it if it was me for what it is worth.
