I would consider Iowa State, but I've heard that the social life there is limiting. I'll be an out of state student so social life is fairly important for me. Would that description be accurate?
My brother double-majored in poli-sci and history with the plan to go to law school. If you really really really know you want to be a lawyer, this is OK. But if you think you might ever not want to be a lawyer, you should get a degree that's actually in demand.

Honestly, since you want to be a lawyer, why not Iowa? You can do the undergrad at ISU but if you have no allegience to ISU and are coming from out of state why not go to the school that actually has a law school?
My brother did undergrad at Iowa and wanted nothing to do with the UI law school. Apparently, UI law students don't get much practice in the courtroom. FWIW.
