So what is a good carat weight? I'm not looking for a huge ring, and she's not the type of girl that cares about a huge ring (more quality over quality). I want something really clear for example:

I got just around 1 carat, but with really good quality. Depends on what you can afford. Rings look really ****** with poor quality, so go with clarity over size no matter what.

I believe I got the cushion cut. I liked that the most.

Anyways, I agree, I'm looking for clarity over quantity. The girl pictured looks like she got quantity over quality.

Update, stopped into Iowa Diamond and bought a ring and half carat diamond. Hope she likes it, though I have a feeling she will. The diamond was pretty much flawless, but dear god gold has gone through the roof.

correct, i really dont know that many guys that say it was hands down the best decision they ever made to get married. I have guys i know that say they are happy, love their kids and wife....but if they had to have the choice again, theyd stay single. But Good luck to you either way bud

Those guys are the guys that have been castrated by their wife, not going to happen with me. Plus she know's me and is laid back about stuff. She's tomboyish with out the ugliness factor.
