Could of been one of the greats in the business but so much wasted potential. Can't believe the guy is still alive.

Not all. Stone Cold and The Rock are doing pretty well post-wrestling. It's more the guys who just can't walk away i.e. flair and hogan.

Hall is a real favorite of mine.
A good combination of athletic talent and Tony Montana vibe (maybe too much).

Watch some of the old Verne Gagne replays and you'd swear it couldn't be the same guy.

Well, technically just one. I don't think the Rock is in his "post-wrestling" career just yet. Plus, those guys turned out okay because they had something else to walk away to (Stone Cold to a lesser extent).

Guys like Scott Hall and Ric Flair have wrestling, and that's it.

Wow. Amazing how horrible he is physically today. It seems like just yesterday he was entering the ring as Razor Ramone. Sad how old I feel just thinking about it. I hope Scott can get better, but it looks like the end of his life is coming soon. Tragic story.

He was one of the greats. This isn't about wasted talent, it's about not being able to seperate in ring persona and out of ring life.

Hogan? The guy got divorced but I'd say he's doing pretty damn well for himself.

I think Hogan would be done now if he wasn't dealing with a nasty divorce. It's sad when you see guys like Foley still getting in the ring, despite him being very good about watching his money during his heyday by all accounts.

The guys that never reach that "top guy" level all seem to get screwed, and even a lot of the top guys do too. For some of them it's self-inflicted (go read the Grantland article about Ric Flair to hear how he pretty much dug his own grave), but a lot of those lower card guys don't actually get paid all that much and are responsible for all their own travel and medical expenses. I can't imagine how expensive an insurance policy for a professional wrestler is.

Meh, I think Hogan has plenty of money even after the divorce. I just think he likes the spotlight.

I'm just glad my favorite wrestler (Bret Hart) is still alive and kicking and at least looks fairly healthy.
