At least it's in the garage and not in a living space like ours was.
We had a radon system put into our new house. Basically they need a hole in the floor (probably of your garage if that's the lowest point) that they can put a pipe into, seal and pull some vacuum. If you have a sump pump, they can usually run it through the sump basin which is a bit cheaper since you're not busting up the floor.
That said, if you think you might have to break through the floor for radon, you might as well try to do it at the same time that your pipe is fixed (whichever method you choose).
