Re: State of Iowa - New Alcoholic Beverage?

John’s Grocery - The Blog » Blog Archive » New Belgium Rollout

This past Monday marked a very important day for the Beer Staff of John’s Grocery. It was the day we could finally answer the question “When are you guys gonna get Fat Tire from New Beligum?” with a resounding “check out the big towering display of beer behind you!”. Yes, that’s right Fat Tire is in the house. Bright and early Monday morning a parade a bicyclists rode from Old Capital Brew Works to the John’s Grocery parking lot, with Elvis on the official Fat Tire retro bike in the lead, to rollout the New Belgium Brewery line here in Iowa.

Currently, the only labels from the brewery that are available in Iowa are: Fat Tire Amber Ale, 1554 Brussels Style Black Ale, and the Mothership Wit.

I say we play a game against our second team players. We would have a closer game! I can't wait to see us shove it down ISU's throats! They are going to need some syrup for all the pancakes we will be getting.---lukestylez (Hawkeye Fan)

I work for Sam's Wines and Spirits and it is our best selling beer. The beer we truly miss is Bell's Brewery out of Michigan. They pulled out of Illinois about a year ago. They have great beers!

Bell's is a really great brewery, I am a huge fan of the Oberon Ale. Glad we have it in parts of MN, .

Anyone in CO heading to the Tour de Fat in Fort Collins today? My wife and I will be there. We went one other time and it was pretty cool. Bands, food, beer, and bikes. It is happening at the brewery today. Check the website for more info.

Not in CO anymore but I'm not changing my name :)

Man, Fat Tire is one of my favorites. They don't sell it in Oklahoma (where I'm from) so my dad always has me bring back a case or two every time I make the trip back home.
