Cheap work clothes around Des Moines

I was wondering if anyone knew a place to get some knock-off Carhartt overall bibs, or used work clothes around Des Moines.

I need a new set of bibs as my current ones are about 10 years old and just ripped to hell (not to mention they smell like "agriculture"). I went to G&L on Ingersoll yesterday and new Carhartt's were a bit out of my price range. I wouldn't want to spend more than $50. Just wondered if anyone knew of a consignment type place that would have something like this. I checked a Goodwill last week that didn't have any, but I don't know if that's just indicative of that Goodwill, or if others would be that way.

I swear every time someone posts an advice thread on CF, they list an option that they've tried, and didn't work. Then within the first five responses, someone suggests that very same option, showing that they didn't read the post at all.

Sierratradingpost.com sometimes has cheap carhart and you can usually find coupon codes to go with it

Theisens in Ames carries knock off's not sure on prices, but I know they are much cheaper than Carhartt.

I know Fleet Farm carries cheap bibs around 50 bucks as thats what the in-laws always get but the closest is Mason City. Man i wish the rumor of Fleet Farm coming to Ankeny was true.

Otherwise check WalMart, Kmart, or even Sears. I know I have seen knock off bibs at all of those places in the past.

I wouldn't hold my breath on a consignment shop. Most people hang on to bibs until there is duct tape and patches all over them and barely holding together.

That's exactly the shape my old ones are in.

I'll probably go the Wal-Mart/Kmart route. It's not something I need on a daily basis, so I don't need as high of quality as normal.

Bass Pro has some nice stuff. I got some flannel-lined pants there. Very Carhart-like, but they're a lot less expensive and still good quality.

You're right. I forgot about menards, they had some decent looking ones for like 40-50 bucks last time I was there.

Of course I am 6'7" so I am normally stuck buying Carhartt ones for the length.
