I would have given a field report earlier, but my power has been out until about an hour ago. Magnitude 5.6, about halfway between Tulsa and OKC. Things were shaking pretty good for a minute. You really don't expect the floor and the apartment around you to start moving when you're playing Battlefield 3, no matter how realistic they say the graphics are. Some glasses fell over during the quake, there are small cracks above a couple of my door frames, and the 4x4 holding up the freestanding corner of my upstairs neighbor's deck split, but other than that everything seems alright. The only really bad thing that happened is that the power going out means that I'll have to go spend about 30 minutes apiece restarting my simulations on all 10 of my computers at work sometime this week.

I was sitting in a chair watching TV in Norman and it sounded like thunder first, the way thunder can shake you house and it feels like the top of you house vibrates froim the noise, and then for about 30 seconds I could feel the foundation of the house shake, and I got an upset stomach from the motion. I have been in a bigger earthquake before in Alaska 30 years ago, but it was very weird and there was noise with it, like a freight train in the distance.

I'm here in the Dallas area and was laying in bed watching TV. I could feel the bed shake slightly and the handles on the armoire beside me start shaking. I woke up my wife and told her as it was happening. I thought I was nuts until I saw Herbie on TV later.

I felt it in Kansas City. First time ever for me. It was a weird feeling.

Same here. It felt like someone was shaking my chair. It was a very strange feeling!

Wife and I were sitting on the couch and had a weird oozy feeling and thought I saw the lamp move every slightly. She didn't feel it and thought I was crazy. I think b/c I was sitting still I noticed it, I think if you were pre-occupied at all you weren't going to feel it. I joked with her last night that there was a fault line in the mid-west. Was shocked to actually see there was one last night!

That is exactly how I felt it. If I wasn't sittin on my couch, I wouldn't have felt it. I just noticed the lamp moving back and forth ever so slightly and I had a little dizzy/weird stomach/motion sickness feeling. Like you said, if I had been walking around or pre-occupied I wouldn't have felt it.

I was sitting too. There was an eery, almost subsonic hum. Wild, weird stuff.
