    Re: Walking Dead

This is starting to resemble the time on the farm when nothing was happening except characters being annoying. Rick's psychosis is just dumb and how is he outside the fence, but is not swarmed by zombies?

Get the plot moving and keep the characters smart. They think the Governor could come for them, yet he is able to drive up, park, deploy someone to the guard tower and start shooting before anyone notices. That's just bad writing.

The thing that bothered me most about this episode was the Woodbury gang's actions. You snipe one person, trap a couple more in prone positions, have a sniper (inexplicably) in a guard tower, and have just released a dozen walkers into an enclosed space with more pouring in. Do you (A) continue firing with your enemies preoccupied, (B) retreat to the trees and lay down cover fire, or (C) do your best James Bond villain impersonation, assume the job is done, and up and leave?
I think the assumption was that the Governor was just trying to send a message, not wipe them out.

Though, knowing his personality, I'm not sure why he wouldn't just wipe them out or at least pick off the people who were isolated and leave those fortified in the prison to fend without their leaders.

Spot on. They're mistaking shock value (i.e. a bullet to axel's head) for an actual plot twist. And why were they not ready for it the governor in the prison? And what the hell happened to tyrese?

As much as I enjoy the show, the writing has just been lazy these past two episodes.

Glen made a comment about no one being on watch. Rick is going crazy, Maggie is out of it, and they were also focusing on the breach at the back of the prison and trying to seal that off. It's not like they're a well trained army with near unlimited manpower. I think it's plausible the Governor's group could have gotten close without being noticed.

When Rick told ghost Lori to leave everyone thought he was talking to Tyrese's group. They left the prison. If you watched Talking Dead afterwards one of the producers alluded that we might see Tyrese again in the future.

So in an environment where there would be dead silence they do not hear a truck pull up? When Herschel is in the yard, Michonne is apparently living in a bus in the yard? I don't buy it. They could have walked up, but not driven. you'd hear them a mile away. Just my opinion and I do think the writers write some episodes just to buy time. I would rather have seen more of Tyrese and his group.

Maybe the governor converted his truck to an electric motor. You have a point. You could clearly hear Glens truck driving up.

    Putting my bet on:

Tyreese's group ends up in woodbury. After having such a bad reception at the prison (ending with seeing crazy rick as their leader) he'll offer to lead them into the prison via the weak area he knows about in the back.

I agree Tyrese group is going to be a factor. At some point maybe Tyrese takes voer for Rick when the group is desperate and Rick is irrational.

The truck is just on the edge of the wooded area, not on the main road. If they found a way to drive through the woods they could have driven very slowly and not made much noise. And I'm sure they would have sent scouts ahead before they brought the truck up to find the best place to do it without being noticed.

Have you driven a truck through the woods without a road? It is not quiet. More plausible they would push the truck and be silent, but then what is the point. Unless they just swooped in before they could react, but it would still take time to get the guy on the tower. I just think it could have been portrayed better if the Governor was going to attack. Lazy writing in my opinion.

I laughed at that then wondered if I should feel bad for laughing at it.
