Now its switched to at 8 and then an hour of talking dead.

Yeah. That wasn't very logical. It's a fear-filled response, but it shouldn't take long to decide that walls are better than nothing.

Andrea had the gun bag at the end of season 2. It was on one of Michonne's 'pets' at the beginning of season 3, and the governor ended up with them (and the sword) when andrea and michonne were captured.
