Not sure if this has been posted, but the Women's XC team won the Midwest Region championship yesterday. This automatically qualifies them for the NCAA championship. Congratulations to them.
We had 4 runners in the top 10.(2,4,7,10). The champion (Alphine Tuilamuk) was a key member of our past two teams. She transfered to Wichita St. For nursing school. If we had her and the All Big 12 Austrialian who chose to stay home- we would compete for the national championship.
The men were 6th and had a very nice rebuilding year. They need a frontline performer and more depth but the program continues to progress.
Each team scored 2 points each in the Cy-Hawk series for beating Iowa. (I think we still score XC)
