I've yet to meet anyone who didn't love BSG. And I agree, DS9 is the best of the Star Trek series.

The first few season, IMO, are not cheesy. Did you know who produced and aired the first five seasons? NOT SyFy channel. ShowTime actually did and then the 6th through the end was picked up by SyFy. I agree the last few seasons were SyFy channel cheesy, but not sure how you could say that about the first few.
Hell, even a few of my friends who hate Sci Fi stuff liked the first season of SG-1 (I watched an episode w/o telling them what it was once and they were like "oh, this is pretty good").
To each their own though. Universe is not bad (and I'd say SG-U has a definite SyFy channel feel to it)
I would for sure check out Three Sheets. By far my favorite show ever. Dont remember if you can stream it on Netflix, but I do know that you can watch it on Hulu.
Yeah it used to be. I got my start on Dexter watching it at a friends house on his xbox, so when I got Netflix on my PS3 (Just a few months ago) I was saw that it was only available when ordering the DVD... already had the box sets though.
That show is golden.
Man there is a lot of Sci-Fi being dropped....especially for a sports-centric board. :)
I stumbled across this webdoc that is streaming via Netflix called 'Thumbs Up' that simply rules. It's a series that follows street artist, David Choe as he hitchikes, stows-away, and bums across the U.S.
If you like your TV fare a tit-bit avante garde and outside the box, then this 'reality' show should tickle your grumpkin.
My wife and I like Pawn Stars. If we had a family business, it would be just like that one, from the grumpy old man right on down through Chumley...
I'm bumping this thread for recent suggestions. I'm back on Netflix for the winter so I need a list of must-see stuff. TIA!
Walking Dead - Seasons 1 and 2
Breaking Bad - Seasons 1 through 4
The Inbetweeners is on now. TED talks are pretty cool too.
Hell on Wheels season 1, The Grey, Sherlock seasons 1&2
I've seen The Grey and it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
I just watched Shooter on streaming and it was quite good.
