Looking forward to seeing everyone's deer photos from opening day Saturday.

This picture is of a 8 pointer I shot opening day last year in Southwest Iowa near Clarinda. He grossed around 155.

Good luck!

i won't be shooting a buck unless it's a wall hanger. i do plan on pounding the does though. i'm going to see how many doe i can put down this year. the rest of the guys in my group think i'm crazy, but why shoot a ragged basket rack with no fat on it when you can shoot a nice doe that will be good eating!

If you shoot them when they're little, they won't ever get big. You have the right idea.

That's a nice deer.

I'm on a 3 year drought since getting my 10-pointer back in 2007. I'm shooting the first thing I see.

Going to be a bloody wet mess tomorrow.

Might not get to go this year. This little guy was in my front yard last week. We don't have Iowa size deer in out area.

He will have a nice rack in a couple years, just typical small body Texas deer.

This is how I operate as well. I wont shoot one unless its larger than the one I posted.

That's a great score for an 8 ptr.

I am hunting Gun 2...plan on shooting a doe unless the Turdy Point Buck walks by.

I'll go 2nd season. For me, if its brown its down. I don't care about antlers. I hate the damned forest rats and wish they were extinct, they don't even taste good unless its made into jerky or snack sticks. I'll do my part to help move them in that direction.

I'll be hunting Taliban instead this year.......hopefully next year I can try for a whitetail.

The deer population needs to be taken down by a few million.

Where are the pics? Can't wait for next weekend to get here...weather sounds good.
