A-Breaker (New "hot" game. Get Angry Birds if you have not already)
Urbanspoon
Nike+GPS (if you are a runner)
MusicID (put phone next to radio and the app finds the song and allows for you to download from itunes)
ScoreMobile (I like this better than the ESPN app)

I like the Facebook, Gmail and Amazon apps as well. Makes it easier than going online through safari.

Agree on Urbanspoon, ScoreMobile and Nike + GPS.

Also consider SoundHound. Free app that will give you the name and lyrics of any song playing in a bar or radio if you turn it on, plus automatically link you to iTunes to purchase the song.

Yelp, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Netflix, Pandora, Constitution (yes, US Constitution - I know you'll love it :) ), Google has tons, Adobe PS Express.

Thanks bro! ... Did you have to go charge your phone in the middle of typing that sentance? ... And yes i had 3 htc droid phones, evo evo shift and evo 3ds, all with 4g capability and cant find anything to not like about my switch to an iphone ...

No, I just keep it plugged in all the time. It's like an old phone that connected to the wall; back to the future.

I use an iPhone; I was just trying to stay ahead of the curve and anticipate the comments that this thread would yield. The iPhone gets a really, really bad rap because most users are still on AT&T whose network is absolute garbage. Verizon's 4G can run circles around it. If iPhone doesn't have a 4G device available by the time my contract with AT&T expires in July, I'm pretty sure I'll switch over to an Android device until Apple gets their **** together.
