    I'd see if you can live with the audio before buying a soundbar. You should be able to buy a very nice 42" for that price. Bigman listed out some good brands although I wouldn't put Sony ahead of the others.

    Not bad at all, and you gotta love buying from newegg, I've used them quite a bit and haven't had any problems with them.

    I have 46" samsung LCD that I bought three years ago. Probably one of the best purchase that I have made. I am planning to upgrade my 46" for 55" LED LCD sometime in next 6 months. I would go for LED LCD, they are smaller and easier to mount them onto a wall.

    Good deal and consumer reports had it as their 4th highest 42" model. The 3 above it were all over $800.
