    I don't like it... Vets will always be Vets to me. But then again, the inside is completely different and not the same as what it used to be.

    The name is stupid but it is a good thing, it gave the veterans group $25k while they werent getting squat for it being named Vets auditorium.

    $2.5m over 10 year is a quarter million a year plus the $25,00 check.

    *Unless of course they get none of that 2.5m...which I guess is possible if the City of Des Moines keeps it or Polk County.

    That said, Vets still should have been shown a wrecking ball.

    That's what I would assume. The county sold the naming rights. Considering the original name, they had to do something for the Vets, hence the $25k.
