Labradoodles and golden doodles are thee dumbest creations ever, basically you get the worst of the two breeds and none of the good. If you are going to get a mutt, go to a shelter and pick one up where they have no clue what it is. Usually they make the best dogs.

Re: Getting a Puppy
Dogs are awesome, but I agree with others. Life situations change quickly at that age, and dogs limit your choices in many ways, most importantly in where you are able to live. Usually the dog loses out in that scenario. If you're willing to make the commitment to having a dog, then great. Dogs add a lot to your life.

Re: Getting a Puppy
How will you have time for a dog when you didn't even have time for Mafia on here?

Re: Getting a Puppy
I'm a student. Girlfriend is a graduate student. We have a 7 month old puppy. Don't. Do. It. I love our puppy to death but a) he's expensive b) he requires a lot of attention and c) you're going to give up a lot to have a dog. Want to go somewhere for a weekend? Can't, have to take a puppy with you. Want to sleep at night? Puppy doesn't care. They want to play. You want to get up every couple hours to let a dog out while you're training them? Willing to deal with the constant cleaning up messes? Have the money to pay for treatment if they have mites or something else? Enough money to pay for toys so your furniture doesn't turn into chew toys? Enough money for food?
99% of college students aren't responsible enough to handle themselves, let alone a puppy on top of it.

We have a 5 year old yellow lab and we named her Paisley shortly after I bought one of his albums. Great singer and an even better dog! -

Chris, do you have a light like batman does that lets you know when someone is mentioning you?

Re: Getting a Puppy
Don't do it now. Wait until the relationship has become long term.
Dogs aren't kids, but women think they are, and you're going to catch hell for treating them otherwise. I seriously think my dog has more toys (not my doing) than I did at it's age. That said, I love the little bastard and wouldn't trade him at all. Wish I would have had him when I was single though. He's a chick magnet.

On another note. Cymate: as a future room mate I will take responsibility to take it on a walk sometimes throughout the week only to pick up chicks. I will not however take responsibility when it ***** on the floor.

So, if she gets a dog, what do you get? I mean, you are not really thinking about claiming a yorkie poo as your dog, are you?
Just get a cat.
