Need some help Fanatics, my computer took a crap on me and I was curious as to what I should get. An iPad or another dell laptop. I recently graduated and only use the computer for random internet stuff such as YouTube, facebook,Twitter and those kinds of things.

    Advice please!

    The weather channel
    Twitter

    Re: Got a new iPad

anyone have good recommendations for an iPad cradle/desk stand? I want something that i could sit on the counter while cooking, or on the bar/table while watching football and not worry about it tipping over if i touch it a little too forcefully or bump it accidently.

I just use the smart cover since I always use it in landscape mode.

Wife got one of these for her Ipad 2. It has a smart cover. I wasn't very impressed with the Apple smart cover. The only downside that I've seen with this cover is that it covers the audio buttons on the side. You can still adjust the audio by going into the settings but it takes a little more time.

    Re: Got a new iPad

After spending a couple of days messing around with the wifes Ipad her are my observations.

The OS and all the apps I've installed run super smooth. No delay between screens. Turns off and on fast.

    The battery life is impressive.

The camera is average. About the same as my Android phone. Video is about the same.

    The screen looks great.

Easy to set up for non tech people

    Safari sucks donkey balls

    Not having flash sucks

I don't really like the Apple store layout. I also notice that a lot more of the apps cost money compared to the Android store. Haven't found an app that I I would want and doesn't exist in the Android store. I'll take that back, I like the Flipboard app.

Don't like the lack of mini hdmi

    I think it's at least $100 over-priced

Overall I like it and think it's perfect for my wife. If I was going to buy a tablet for myself I would wait to see how ICS performs on some of the other tablets like the Asus. Maybe even wait for Windows 8?

    Re: Got a new iPad

I'm probably waiting until the iPad3 comes out and then waiting for the crazies who will camp out in line at Best Buy and/or the Apple store for a week to get theirs...

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

The camera is horrible unless you are outside in wonderful light. No flash does suck. I have been using Safari for years now with no problems, so I don't understand why its sucks donkey balls.

All in all, I like to play with it, but all it is for me is a glorified electronic toy. My wife uses it for everything, and it fits her lifestyle much more than mine.

I think I've just been spoiled with Chrome. I like the layout and the plug-ins. Maybe if I used Safari more I'd get use to it.

Outside of IE, it is hard to find a horrible browser.
