I hope your also teaching him how to shoot, so someday in the future he can impress his girlfriends father by hitting all the clay thingeys.

He already has a lifetime hunting permit, I'm sure by the time he has a girlfriend he'll be fine. We grow up around clay thingies in my family.

Teach him how to hold it properly now.

That was one of the first lessons. The gun is a little big for him, but he'll grow into it.

Does he have a dog that hunts?

Not yet.

If I bought one of those, I'd probably get it for myself . But that's a good idea for next year.

Does it have a compass in the stock?

Yep, it's a carbine-action, two hundred shot Range Model air rifle. It also has this thing which tells time.

Actually it has none of those things. It's just a BB gun.
