Beats headphones.
Are they worth the money? I listen to a lot of hip hop and other genres of music, I love the way they sound but would you buy them again if you had the choice?
I'm looking at possibly buying a pair.

Re: Beats headphones.
Heard they're good quality, but a rip-off.

Re: Beats headphones.
Ive had my Beats pro for a while now and I absolutely love them, they sound fantastic.
400 bones was steep, but you can always make more money.

Re: Beats headphones.
Don't buy the skull candy ear pieces. They are great for listening to music in but after wearing them for long enough it starts to feel like your ear holes are being penetrated.

Re: Beats headphones.
I was thinking the ones that go over your ears, but should I get the ones that go fully over your ears or part over your ears?

I'm looking at possibly buying a pair. No. They are good at marketing, but they are not that great in the sound quality department. They are not bad, but you can do better for the money. You want to find out about headphones, go to Headroom.com(Headroom Corp.) or read up on Headfi.com.

Re: Beats headphones.
I tried my roommate's Beats on and didn't like them very much, but it might have been his low quality youtube music. I got a pair of Sony Deep Bass headphones with complete ear coverage and I love them. I think they were $80... Really soft ear pads made of soft (faux?) deerskin.

Love mine! I'd get them if the money is not an option.

I like the Studio version the best, sans the fact that you have to put batteries in. Just by some rechargable ones and that re-purchasing batteries won't be a problem, though. They fit over your ears the best (match the shame of them), and are the most comfortable IMO. Not AS good sound quality as the Pro, but all in all I think are the best ones to buy of all the models.

Re: Beats headphones.
Spend half the price and get Sennheisers...better sound IMO

Re: Beats headphones.
They're great, but you can get better for less money. With Beats you partly pay for the name. Which, is good and bad. They look great and sound awesome, but there is better for less. I was thinking about buying a pair, but since I don't wear them in public, I decided to go with a pair that was around $100, but almost equal in sound quality. Not particularly pretty, but great sound.
These are what I have. I swear by them and they're just as good in my book. They don't have the look, but they are damn close in terms of quality of sound. The Beats are heavier on the bass levels, but great headphones all around. Amazon.com: Sennheiser HD-280 PRO Headphones: Home Audio & Theater
These are also amazingly good, and probably better than Beats, but again, doesn't have the look. $50 cheaper too. http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD5...427833&sr=1-67
If you want to pay for the name and the style, that's fine. I don't know if you intend to wear them out in public and if you're into that sort of deal, but there are other options. Hope this helped.
Also, if you're wanting really high quality, bass-heavy headphones on the cheap. These Sony's are great for the price. Ignore the price listed though, you can usually find these listed for around $50 on amazon... not sure why they're listed so high. So much bass... http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-XB500...6428357&sr=1-8 -
Re: Beats headphones.
I have a pair of beats and a pair of sennheiser. Cheapest kind of beats you can get, the iBeats. In ear kind. Around 90 dollars or so. I also have a pair of over-ear Sennheisers that were around 70 or 80 dollars. One of the ear went out after about a year of use though, but they were good headphones. Only thing I'll say is, I will never in my life spend over a hundred dollars on headphones. Might be just me though.

Re: Beats headphones.
Listening to my Beats Studios as I type this. I love these things, you can get the Beats Studios at the ISU Bookstore for $250. Although, you can't go wrong with the Bose Quiet Comfort headphones.
My only complaint on my Beats is that they leak sounds...BAD.

Re: Beats headphones.
I'm not an audiophile by any means but from what I have heard from people who do know what they are talking about is that both Beats and Bose both are good sound quality(not the highest but well above average), but are marked up considerably from their competitors because of very good marketing.
From a PC gaming perspective, Sennheiser makes great headsets, and you can get the same quality headset as a Beats headset at about 50% of the cost. Now it may be a bit bulkier, and not look as cool walking around campus, but if you're just using it in your own home I don't see it as a big deal, as for Beats you're mostly paying for Dr. Dre marketing and having that B logo on the side.
I would consider them both similar to Apple products. Apple make very good products, but not worth the huge markup in price considering their competitor's products for somebody like myself.

Re: Beats headphones.
I've tried them out at Best Buy and absolutely loved them. But I wouldn't drop $400 on any set of headphones unless I was seriously rolling in it. Since I'm not, I'll settle for a set of $150 Skullcandy Aviators (eventually, anyway; I'm kind of broke-ish).
