Accounting and it was mostly worth it. I don't love what I do, but I don't hate it either. The only bad thing was that I graduated the first year they required 150 for the CPA and Iowa State hadn't really ramped up their Masters of Accounting program yet. I graduated without the credits for the CPA and it has somewhat hindered my job prospects. But I've had 2 good jobs since I graduated 11 years ago and make pretty good money.

Majored in Communications. Would have been fine if I would have stayed single but when I got married and had a family, the 19,600 starting salary wasn't going to cut it. Became a Financial Rep and never looked back.

BS Meteorology. Absolutely Love what I do. Pay ranges widely, right now I'm on the not so fun side of it.

Marketing---absolutely. I have had some amazing sales jobs, got to travel all over the country and now own my own business.

Without my degree I would be nowhere right now.

Nothing wrong with a sugar momma. I might be headed down the same path once she finishes up at Harvard...

Marketing. Worth it yes. Not directly doing Marketing but working some sales and other kind of duties for an aviation company. Not bad for coasting thru college with a solid 2.6 lol.

Computer Engineering. In terms of job opportunities and pay, absolutely worth it.

Still trying to figure out exactly what direction I want to head with my career, but it has treated me well so far. Definitely feel blessed and very fortunate.

    Sports Management.

Yet to be seen if it's worth anything or not but I've already had some sweet internships. I'll know in a couple months if it's worth anything or not.

Re: What was/is your major? and Was it worth it?

My degree is in Computer Science. The degree program was challenging (2nd most dropped out of major when I went through it at least) and allowed me to see things in new ways. I am really thankful for that.

I got a offered a full time job a semester before I graduated and have been working ever since in a job that I actually enjoy doing, making a good amt of $$, especially for my age.

SO was it worth it? Definitely.

    English (Secondary Education)

Was it worth it? I'm not sure. I met my wife in the same major and we have been married for 12 years. So, that was worth it. But, now I work in IT as a Technology Manager. So, none of it really applies unless I am writing performance reviews or presentations. But, hey, I am making more than an English teacher would ever dream of getting paid.
