Yeah, pretty fun and most of the time the weather is pretty agreeable.

Missed it last year for the first time in about 12 years. It can be a lot of fun if you dress correctly for it.

It's a fantastic time if you like to party.

Love the BRR. Usually shuts down my body for Saturday night booze wise, somewhat like how tailgating does for me as well.

Re: Annual BRR- Bike Ride to Rippey
Thinking about doing it this year. Like riding, however, not a big fan of drinking and biking.

I have been a few times, it is a lot of fun, but not worth the drive from Cedar Rapids.

Have done it a few times, pretty good fun! Not a super long ride and can be a good one if the weather is nice.
I'm thinking about heading over for it with my Dad and Bro this year.

Re: Annual BRR- Bike Ride to Rippey
I'd do BRR this year if I didn't live 6 hours away. My only concern would be tire width depending on the road conditions. Do people usually do this on cross bikes or is a standard road bike (23c tires) the norm?

Re: Annual BRR- Bike Ride to Rippey
I used to sell burgers and water with my 4-H group at the end of the ride in Rippey. Made lots of money, and I sure saw lots of boobs.

This will be my 20th... stay at the Hotel Pattee. Friday night is usually a better time than Sat night. The ride to Rippey is ~ 11.5 each way. Some hit Bouton instead, its like 5 miles there!

Re: Annual BRR- Bike Ride to Rippey
The one year I did it the wind was howling out of the north about 25 miles an hour. No amount of alcohol can turn that into a good time. However, I bet it's a blast when the weather is a little more agreeable.
