Who watched Friday night? I think it's still going to be an awesome show, but it's just not the same w/o the original Spartacus.

I agree Tre. Finally got around to watching it last night. Huge fan of the show. The problem is that this new guy isn't even big. Spartacus needs to be a monster. Guy isn't a bad actor but doesn't look a thing like a gladiator.

Yea, I watched it on demand a week or so ago, looks like this season could be really good. Love the show but agree just not the same with out Andy Whitfield. Maybe the new guy will grow on me though.

I thought in Season One they always made reference to Spartacus being too small to really compete... I do like that this season seems to have amped up the nudity though

Saw it the other night on Audience network (directv) since we got rid of Starz. I'm definitely going to miss this show! Andy Whitfield was a great Spartacus and I just didn't get the same feel from the new dude. And agree, he is not even close to as cut as the original. Should still be good though.

I couldn't believe that Lucrecia (sp?) was still alive! How the heck did she survive Cryxus stabbing her in the stomach? Also, are we to assume that she did that stitch job by herself?

Liam definitely isn't as good as Andy was but Andy seemed like he was born for that role. I don't think Liam had the time to get Mega cut since they had to recast and shoot quickly. It is still good and I will continue to watch. I am really looking forward to Gannicus showing back up, he was great in Gods of the Arena.

I thought that Asher had been killed by Oenomaus in the Kill Them All show on Blood and Sands and I see that he is going to appear again in Vengeance.

I think right before he was about to be killed Asher threw up some sand to blind Oenomaus and escaped.

He tried to kill Asher but I think Asher stabbed doctore in the leg, ran off, and then hid under some dead bodies. Not really sure where he will fit in, I would think he'd almost have to be in service to Glaber to fit into the show now.

This is how i remember it as well...threw the sand and then went out into the yard where they trained and laid down amongst all the dead roman guards.
