Re: R11 vs R9 or other drivers
Very helpful to know. Ive really been thinking of sticking with TM just because I have had all TM drivers before this and have loved em all. So if I did stick to this and buy the R11 from my golf pro, im sure he would help me tune it things. I also told him last year that I was wanting to get fitted for shafts. I bought a brand new R9 4 wood that was the head only so I need to get one for that reason anyways. Hopefully I can find one for the R11 as well.

You can pretty much adjust that club to do whatever you want it to do.

Re: R11 vs R9 or other drivers
So ive been looking online at some of the different brands, but just have no clue. I know I will have to test them from my golf pro but just curious what shaft is the best bang for your buck. I know most TM drivers have a fujikara shaft and curious where those stand? Are they above average for a stock shaft? Just looking for some opinions. Thanks

Fujikura makes great shafts but they have different models with different characteristics. Not just stiff, regular, etc...
There's kickpoint, torque, dispersion, feel, weight, length...

I stand by Titleist.... I got fitted for a 910 D3 and it has been awesome. But if it's not Titleist I wouldn't buy it and I am basing that off of my experiences over the years.
The key is getting fitted and matching the clubs to your swing/game.

I got the Titleist driver summer, it's a solid driver - but not as hot as the TaylorMade.......wish i got the TM. I demo'd the new R11s and RBZ drivers this weekend. Also brought my current Nike Mach Speed (Which I don't like anymore) to comp. R11s and My Mach speed were pretty consistent on measurables, (230ish carry and 250 total). RBZ came out at 250 or more carry every time (280ish total). The roll numbers are generous in the Golfsmith simulators, but the carry is supposed to be accurate within a few yards.
Needless to say, I'll be buying the RBZ.

Needless to say, I'll be buying the RBZ. Be very weary of those numbers. Almost all retail stores jack up the settings to make the customer think they are better than they are. And on top of it the sims in those stores are fairly inaccurate. Do you have any idea what brand of launch monitor it was?
