Does anybody have a GPS that they would reccommend? I currently have a Garmin Nuvi 1350. It's way overdue for an update but the touch screen is acting, well, touchy. Also what is the difference between say a $150 unit (what mine cost 3 yrs ago) and a $350 one? What do you get for the price difference? Any advice would be appreciated, TIA!
I just got a new Motorola Electrify droid phone and the GPS that came with it is so good I will never buy another GPS unit. ( and I have had a Mio, a Garmin, and one the came with a chevy Traverse). This phone puts them all to shame.
I have a garmin 1490lmt and love it. Phones are alright, but i like having something separate that stays mounted in my car, rather than having to plug the phone into a mount (and charger with it) every time i want to drive\navigate.

I have a Garmin 1370T with lifetime map updates. I also use the GPS on my droid X. I prefer the Garmin(barely) once I'm actually on the road driving but the UI is horrible on dedicated GPS units compared to smartphones.
Garmins tend to be the best stand-alone units. The expensive ones might have built-in mp3 players, bluetooth for using as a speakerphone, etc but probably aren't worth it. I'd stick with the cheapest Garmin you can get, and then check reviews on Amazon before buying it to make sure that particular model isn't problematic.
