Luckiest man going?
Watching the Survivor season premier last night got me thinking about how good life must be for Jeff Probst. He makes good money, owns a piece of the action, pretty wife, and his job takes him to exotic locales which force him to work, what? 3-4 hours a day? (Just a guess, but it's not coal mining)
That got me to thinking about who the luckiest SOB going might be, so I came up with some criteria: - His position requires no unique or rare talent set (rules out professional athletes)
- Job does not require a lot of growth/development/exertion (At least Survivor has evolved over time)
- Person did not carve out niche for themselves (I detest Perez Hilton but he did create his own space)
- No risk involved to failure (Love or hate him, but Donald Trump has skin in the game)
- Longevity
So my short list included Ryan Seacrest and Carson Daly.
But the leader in the clubhouse is Pat Sajak. By all accounts he's funny and personable, but I know lots of folks like that. He didn't create Wheel, he's hosted it forever, he basically just needs to read one word or phrase at a time, and the game never changes. Heck, he recently admitted to getting schnockered between tapings. Extra points for getting to work with Vanna, a long-tenured hottie.
Any other nominations?

I'd submit the majority of the Sportcenter anchors.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Re: Luckiest man going?
Probst helped carve a niche so that is why I mentioned hef. Probst was instrumental in getting reality tv going. We had FHV and people's court, but nothing that really was pitted people against themselves in this style. Just like hef carved playboy out, he didn't invent the biggest industry of all, porn.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. -

No he didn't invent porn, but did make it more mainstream. He also made himself the face of the new mainstream porn lifestyle. He created a persona for millions of men to live vicariously.

Alex Tribek - the guy just reads trivia answers. The contestants have to do the hard part and figure out the question. He comes off looking like a genius, despite having all the information on his notecards.
