Flags at half staff for Whitney Houston ?
Apparently Gov. Christie has asked for flags in New Jersey to be flown at half staff on Saturday in honor of Whitney Houston.
I'm not sure how he considers a celebrity who slowly killed her self through years of substance abuse deserving of this recognition. If you're going to do it, at least say it's because of her phenomenal talent, not her drug use problems. And they wanted this guy to run for President? I've kind of liked the guy, but this is dumb move.

“I'm not saying that Whitney Houston is a role model. She's not a role model in that respect, in every aspect of her life. But what she is is a cultural icon in the history of this state,” he said. “I'm disturbed by people who believe ... because of her history of substance abuse, that somehow she's forfeited the good things that she did in her life. I just reject that on a human level.”

I wouldn't have a problem with Illinois lowering their flags if Obama died and he was a drug user. Same for Bush.
