edit: Just went outside to take the garbage and recycling to the curb. It's a light snain right now. It's going to have to really pick up for the 4-8 that the NWS has up on their site for DSM right now. When I see over a 3 inch spread on the totals that signals they don't really know what the **** is going to happen.

Anyone looking for a good work out (and is in the Sioux City area) can stop by and help me clear my driveway and side walks. Six inches of the wettest, heaviest snow that I have seen in some time. Six inches of wet sand weighs less than six inches of this snow.....

That is good for the crops since you have a small drought.

Still going strong here in Ames... and man is it a mucky, slimy snow.

Hope it doesnt freeze tonight because it will make driving to work tomorrow morning a pain in the ***.

I just drove from Clarinda to home (normally a short hour and a half drive), and it took 2 1/2 hours. Couldn't see any road markings or anything. I'd guess we're well over 3 or 4" by now.

Three inches of heavy wet stuff here in Altoona. Snowing pretty heavy.

Not much of anything in Iowa City, just a bit of wet slush on the grass. Concrete wet but not frozen. Does looks like more is on the way in the overnight.
