Re: Vegas Shows
Saw O, wife thought it was great, I thought it was a little to artsy fartsy. If you can get discount tickets it would be OK, I didn't think it was worth it at regular price.

I went in 07.
The audio quality of the music is mindblowing. I've been listening to Beatles music since the 60's and this blew my mind. Hard to believe when you consider the age and the source of the originals, technology-wise.
No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine. -

It's good, but the magazine is still better. -
Re: Vegas Shows
My wife would rather see Oprah than a vegas show but since she is not doing the planning..................I win. (And yes I know tha Oprah no longer has a show.)

Actually....Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian was very good. Just don't sit too close. You want the experience of the chandelier falling.

Anyone seen it?
Aslo any thoughts on good deals for tickets? I went to O with my wife back in 2009. It was unreal. Just bought tix out there. I'd go again in a heartbeat. One of the coolest things I've seen.

Re: Vegas Shows
My wife and I went to Vegas last year, even randomly running into ISU people.
We went to O and liked it. It was my second time and her first. It's definitely a unique show and different than your standard cirque du soleil type shows.
Our favorite show was seeing Penn and Teller at the Rio. They had comedy mixed in with magic and were pretty entertaining. (They also got political with their Libertarian and Atheist beliefs, if that may be an issue.) After their show, they stuck around to meet everyone and take pictures/sign autographs.
We also saw Seinfeld, who was in Vegas at the time and was great.
We also saw The Blue Man Group, who we liked, however are interesting and different and not for everyone.
