Anybody else going to this tomorrow! I'm really excited to see it!

Re: Act of Valor
I hope to see it as soon as I possibly can. Looks awesome!

Re: Act of Valor
I think it's got a score of 43 on Metacritic at this point, but it probably doesn't portray what the Hollywood press would like to see either, so I'll take that with a grain of salt.
I'd like to see it. My 14 year old son wants to see it too, but that really depends on the content.

Re: Act of Valor
Rotten tomatoes has it at 22%. I wouldn't expect the acting to be great due to having real navy seals. I would hope the action makes up for it though.

Re: Act of Valor
It looks awful. Would love to see a good documentary on SEALs or a good movie on SEALs. This will be neither. It's a contrived gimmicky POS.

Saying it sucks without watching is probably a good idea. You apparently know less than zero about the background of the film.
Personally, I'm pumped to see it tonight!

Re: Act of Valor
I was in the millitary so I've got much love for our troops....but this seems like it's glorifying war. War is not to be glorified. I've not seen the movie but if they try and make fighting and killing some kind of fantasy fun act than this movie is down right wrong. Also, for anyone who's ever been in the military you know this is the kind of **** recruiters will use to get guys to sign up.

As a marine who has trained with seals on coronado island I am interestes in seeing it
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Re: Act of Valor
I'm kind of pumped for it. They used real SEALS and live ammunition. It probably won't be that good, because generally there is a reason that movies use actors, but I'm excited to see a glimpse of what those guys do.

Re: Act of Valor
looks like a gigantic propaganda recruitment tool.....with terrible acting...not my cup of tea.
and before I get savagely attacked about my opinion....I served in the military and have the right to my own thoughts.

P re-emptive strike done. According to this admiral, it is a recruiting tool: ‘Act of Valor’ Movie, ‘American Sniper’ Book Spotlight Navy SEALs 50th Anniversary | Defense Media Network
I'm curious about knowing more of the backstory to it. I could go either way on seeing it, but I don't see a lot of movies.
**Until the Avengers comes out. I'll see that for sure.
