Colds and Flu season
My place of work here in central Iowa has had an unbelievable high number of people sick and missing work due to colds and flu this winter. My wife has indicated the same findings at her employer. I'm sure the main reason for all the sickness is how all of us are confined to the interior work place on a day to day basis coming in contact with everyone's germs. This environment is of course how the northern United States operates during the winter. Is there any opinion here about whether the cold and flu season is less prevalent in the south? More open windows, more outdoor activity, etc. It has to be since us north climate people seem to be more healthy during the spring summer and fall. What's everyone's secret to staying healthy during the winter germ season?

Re: Colds and Flu season
Gargle with 50/50 water to peroxide. Haven't had a cold since I started doing that.

I drink quite a bit of water during day to stay well hydrated.

Re: Colds and Flu season
I've been sick with one of those two things exactly twice in 8 years. I don't know if I have a strong immune system, or if it's just that I tell people to stay away from me when it sounds like they might be sick.

Re: Colds and Flu season
There is every bit as much cold and flu in the South as there is in the North. Makes no difference.

I constantly wash my hands with hand sanitizer and drink a ton of water.

Re: Colds and Flu season
I had influenza two weeks ago, and yeah I got the flu shot this year. The strain that hit our house must not have been included in the shot.
