We are going to tour Peace Tree today and want to grab a bite to eat beforehand. Anyone have any good recommendations for restaurants down in Knoxville? Doesn't have to be anything fancy.
Knoxville is not a destination dining town, there is a lousy steakhouse, a lousy BBQ place and some other lousy places. Eating well involves driving to Pella, Pleasantville, Indianola, or Prairie City.

Thanks!
Id just grab some food at the BBQ resturant right next to Peace Tree.
Go to Kinfolks Eatin Place in Attica, about 6 miles south. Or head to Udders, which is a grill your own steak place just north of town near the Red Rock mile long bridge on HWY 14.
Udders is a good choice. Sonic closed down a few years back, but we still have a few different restaurants. Taso's down town, just around the corner from Peace Tree isn't too bad.
There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

The one by the race track is much better.
