    LOGO

    I was talking with a buddy at work the other day, about all of the logo changes we have had over the years. Is it me or do we change our logo more than any other college? I mean we can't even stick with a color scheme. What is your favorite logo?

    Anything before or after that Gene Smith/McCarney twist bird with ketchup and blue crap.

    Those were terrible uni years.

    It's all about exposure and branding. Yes, you can take a look at our logo and criticize it by saying "Well, who is it? Idaho State, Indiana State, Illinois State, Iowa State?"... I was one of those people myself. I hated the new logo.

    It's more than grown on me, it's become our new identity. It's sharp. It's defining. It is Iowa State.

    Was one of my favorites too. I always considered this one to be an alternate grouped with the side view CY from the 80s. Maybee it's just because that's what I grew up with, but I have always loved the 80's/early 90's logos and alternate logos. The side view of Cy is far and away my most favorite.

    I like the new logo with just the I and state. I don't mind the new Cy head in the swirl, but I cannot stand the new (angle view) walking Cy. Most of my cyclone gear has the old walking Cy(80's) and some witht the 90's twister Cy, and a few with the new I state logo, but I will refuse to wear anything with the new walking Cy.

    I didn't care for the blue..... I did like the twist bird logo much better after it was changed to just cardinal and gold.

    I deffinitly think it should be a secondary logo along with Walking Cy. The current secondary logos are not too good.
