The documentary is titled “An Anxious Mind.” It’s the biggest thing White is working on for his nonprofit group, Anxious Minds. He wants to raise awareness about mental illness. The documentary is his primary vehicle.
The film will show the science behind anxiety and mental illness. It will be framed through White’s story, how he discovered he has it, what triggers it, and how he got it under control.
He wants it to be about his entire life, everything he’s gone through and experienced through his first year at ISU. His hope is that the documentary is out within a year. He hopes to give any money it makes to mental illness foundations.
He hopes the film will inspire not only those with an anxiety disorder, but also those in abusive relationships, those dealing with depression. Anyone struggling with life.
“That is what this documentary is for,” White said. “There is a lot of things that I’ve seen in life and have to deal with in life that I want people to be able to look at my experience and say, this kid is dealing with these things and that means I can deal with it, too. There is a way; there is something else to get to.”
